The Life Divine (The Mother)
In The Mother's "Wednesday Classes" attended by the students, teachers and sadhaks of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, the Mother generally began by reading from one of her French translations of Sri Aurobindo's works. After the reading, the Mother commented on the text or answered questions.
On October 23, 1957 She began the reading of the last six chapters of Sri Aurobindo's The Life Divine. The two chapters Man and the Evolution and The Evolution of the Spiritual Man were finished and the chapter The Triple Transformation was just taken up when the "Wednesday Classes" ceased. The date of the last of these talks is 26 November 1958.
This volume is a compilation of the talks on The Life Divine. The material has been taken from vol. 9 of the Collected Works of The Mother (Centenary Edition).
